We are looking for the best home care workers in Gateshead and surrounding areas.

We are looking for Care Workers / Support Workers who want to work for a CQC “Outstanding” rated home care provider. We are also a member of the Living Wage Foundation and one of the most highly rated care providers by service user feedback on homecare.co.uk.

We work throughout the local community so we can only recruit those who drive and have their own car.

What we can offer

  • Flexible hours from 7 in the morning, through to 10 at night.
  • Competitive rates of pay – £10.90 -£11.20 per hour PLUS Mileage (45p per mile). Rates increase on weekends. (Wages are reviewed in March)
  • Female care workers preferred. ** Full-time availability including weekends desirable. Full availability means 16 hours per week guaranteed, 30+ hours per week expected.

  • We work on a 2 week, rolling rota – so, you will know in advance what you are working. 6 days, followed by 4 days – with each alternate weekend off!

About the role:

  • Our Care Workers / Support Workers provide support to our clients, in their own homes by assisting with:
  • Outings, activities, errands
  • Grocery shopping and meal preparation
  • Personal care requirements like showering, incontinence needs, or getting ready for the day
  • Light household cleaning and domestic assistance
  • Support with medication

What you will need:

  • A willingness to learn
  • A reliable nature
  • A flexible approach to your working pattern
  • You will need full driving licence, with access to your own vehicle to apply for the role.
