The Benefits of a Live-in Care Service

I would positively without doubt recommend Blue Ribbon. The care and attention my dad is being given is outstanding and exceptional. The manager and staff treat my dad with dignity and self respect and they all go that extra mile to help with other matters concerning him. They are absolutely 100%. Thank you to all the wonderful staff.

How Live-in Care Works

Families who choose Live-in Care from Blue Ribbon do so with the peace of mind that comes from knowing their Care Worker is always available; whatever the time of day.

A major benefit of our service is the constant care and companionship you receive at home from a Care Worker who is dedicated to your needs.

All of our Care Workers are overseen by a network of Registered Managers and Supervisors, which means you are never far away from the support you need. Your Care Worker’s role can be as varied as you wish, embracing support with personal care and continence care, support with medication or helping with restricted mobility.

Maintaining your home is important too; your Care Worker can support with your housekeeping, cleaning, laundry and shopping, as well as trips out. We also understand the importance of nutrition; our Care Workers will cook to your tastes and advise you on how to achieve a well-balanced diet.

Often, of greatest importance, is the quality time they spend as a companion, chatting and simply keeping you company. What this then allows is time for you and your loved ones to be a family, spending quality time together.

We’ve put together some information that we think will help you understand who Live In care is for and how we can help support you and the person who requires the care.

Hospital Discharge

The urgent need for care is often placed upon families when a successful discharge is dependant on the appropriate level of care and support being in place.

A seamless transition from Hourly Visiting Care

It can be difficult to determine who Live In care  is for? It is common for us to be approached by families who have been receiving a number of hourly care visits but find that it no longer meets their needs.

From Care Home back to your own home

We support many people and their family who have trialled a residential care home but found that the privacy and dignity one can only experience in your own home is compromised too much.

Live-in Care FAQs

Live-in care is when you have a care worker living with you in your home, offering round-the-clock support for peace of mind. They will support you based on your care and support plan.

CQC (England) and CIW (Wales) regulated Live-in Care means that you have peace of mind that the service you’re receiving is regulated by an independent body. In essence, a CQC-regulated service like ours is frequently monitored for quality and safety, meaning that you can be rest assured the service you were promised, is the service you receive.

Our live-in care costs are dependent on the intensity of your care needs, however the starting prices are £920 per week (2022-23) for a single person.  There is more information about costs elsewhere on this page.

Your live-in care worker will be trained to meet all of your care needs, ranging from personal care and mobility support to companionship and support with housekeeping.

When you enquire about Live-in Care, we’ll organise an assessment with your local care manager. They will visit you at home to find out all about you, so that they can match you with a Live-in Care Worker with you and your lifestyle. This way, you’ll be receiving more than just physical support, you’ll have a companion.
